Converting Canva Projects Into Blog Posts

While you were busy using AI writing tools to outline and write text content, Canva was sneaking in some seriously cool new AI features that will totally change your content creation workflow.

And guess what? I’ve rounded up the top game-changing Canva AI tools so you don’t have to.

But if there’s one thing you shouldn’t miss, it’s the Magic Switch feature. This lets you turn your visual projects into written content in doc format—like creative blog posts, LinkedIn posts, video scripts, and more.

Want to create poems or songs based on the text of your Canva social media post? Say no more.

In what world would you have imagined Canva could do that?

Not only that: Once you’ve converted your Canva project into long-form text content in doc format, you can instantly generate a fully-designed presentation deck with one click.

Don’t just take my word for it. Follow these steps to try it yourself:

Step 1: Visit Canva and subscribe to a Pro Account. No need to pay anything upfront, just use their Free Pro Trial.

Step 2: Create or select your Canva project and transform it into a doc format.

Tap the “Resize & Magic Switch” option on the top left corner of the project dashboard and choose “Transform into Doc” from the drop-down.

Step 3: Choose the type of text content you want your Canva project to be converted into by clicking the button with three horizontal dots.

In this case, we’re converting this visual project into a blog post.

Canva will extract the text content I’ve added to the project and organize it in a document. It will also generate relevant texts to fill the gaps, delivering a ready-to-use creative blog post.

Step 4: Edit and Customize

Once you have your blog post document, you can edit the text to polish and enhance the overall content.

Step 5: Transform into Presentation

Once you’re satisfied with your blog post, you can opt to generate a presentation deck.

Simply tap on the “Magic Switch” option at the top left corner of the project dashboard to get started.

Step 6: Choose A Template Style.

Pro Tip: Choose one with your brand colors to maintain consistency in your content.

Drag the scroll bar on the right panel down to get a preview of each slide and click on “Create Presentation.”

Step 7: Edit and Customize Your Presentation

Adjust the slides and revise texts as needed before saving your project and extracting it.

And there you have it—a simple hack to repurpose your Canva visual projects into blog posts and generate presentation decks without ever leaving the site or app.

At this point, I wouldn't blame anybody if they included Canva in their list of “Daily Essentials.”

TLDR news highlights

OpenAI Co-founder Joins Rival Anthropic

Another one bites the dust at OpenAI as co-founder John Schulman resigned to join Anthropic.

In his tweet, the lead of the reinforcement training team for the development of ChatGPT expressed that he joined their rival company to learn new viewpoints and focus on AI alignment research by working more hands-on with Anthropic AI technologies.

I don’t know about you but the OpenAI board room must be in a constant state of chaos after losing key players left and right.

Are things really that bad within OpenAI closed doors or is Anthropic just an environment with greener and cleaner pastures? And does this mean Anthropic is about to swoop in and steal the crown, thanks to the very minds that put OpenAI to the top?

So many questions.

GPT-4o Safety Measures and Risk Assessments Documents Released

3 months after GPT4o’s launch in May, OpenAI finally released the GPT-4o System Card, which details the safety precautions and risk assessments carried out by the AI giant.

This study was conducted by an external group of red teamers or security experts hired by OpenAI to do thorough testing as part of the standard pre-launch practice.

The researchers’ verdict: GPT4o is medium risk.

The AI model rated low risk in three of four categories: cybersecurity, biological risks, and model autonomy. However, researchers discovered that some writing samples from GPT-4o may be more effective at altering readers' opinions than human-written content — resulting in a high-risk rating for the category persuasion.

So, if you're wondering whether to trust ChatGPT completely, consider this your friendly reminder to use a little discernment.

Giving AI NPCs a Reality Check

If you think it’s amazing that players today can actually speak to video game characters in real-time and have them talk back, wait until you see this YouTube creator convince the smartest AI NPCs in The Matrix Awakens: An Unreal Engine 5 Experience game that they are not real.

Let me tell you, it’s like watching someone try to explain to their cat that the red laser dot isn't real—hilariously fascinating, but ultimately pointless.

One after another, the NPCs who were told they were lines of code in a virtual world were either unfazed or uninterested in the fact. There’s one notable NPC named Link, though, who’s especially self-aware.

Truth bombs were dropped when he acknowledged that although he’s not a real boy, he at least has access to the internet. Beat that, humans.

What’s funny is that the YouTuber’s out here trying to blow these NPCs’ minds, but instead, it’s his mind that gets a little more blown each time.

Lesson learned: The more intelligent the NPCs are, the sassier their generated responses are. So if you ever find yourself in a video game, don’t bother convincing the NPCs they’re not real—they’re busy glitching their way through the matrix.

“What existential dread? We’re immune to that.” - AI NPCs, probably. Must be nice.
